Calcium stearate is White powder, insoluble in water, cold ethanol and ethyl ether, soluble in organic solvents such as hot benzene, benzene and turpentine, slightly soluble in hot ethanol and ethyl ether.When heated to 400℃, it will decompose slowly and be flammable. 2.As a halogen absorber in polypropylene and polyethylene, it can eliminate the negative effects of residual catalysts in the resin on the colour and stability of the resin.
3.Also used as a lubricant for polyolefin fibres and mouldings.
4.Used as a mould release agent, plasticizer, thickening agent for grease, waterproofing agent for textiles, smoothing agent for paint industry, etc. in rubber processing.
